| Owned by the Louis M. Martini winery since 1938, the Monte Rosso vineyard (named for its rich, red volcanic soils) is a steep and rugged vineyard located on Moon Mountain high above Sonoma Valley. A series of plateaus and hillsides, comprised mostly of loam and mineral-rich, decomposed volcanic ash, the Monte Rosso terroir imparts ripe dense berry flavors with richness and mountain-grown intensity into the wines. We have been privileged to source outstanding Cabernet from the Monte Rosso vineyard since 1999. |
