ALEXANDER VALLEY
 
 Our beautiful 32 acre Estate Vineyard rewards us with a variety of soil types from deep gravel on the hillside slopes to the rich clay loam of the valley floor.  The warm location, with just enough elevation to keep away frosts, allows us to grow a number of red and white varieties.  

We began replanting in 1999, carefully choosing rootstocks and clones to match soil type and exposure. Our treasure, however, remains the 2 acre block of old vine Zin planted in the early 1920s.  These venerable vines ignited our passion for making delightfully complex and expressive single-vineyard Zinfandel wines.
