2006 Dry Semillon, Alexander Valley
Silver Medal Winner; 2007 California State Fair

Semillon is one of three white grape varieties originating from Bordeaux, the other two being Sauvignon Blanc and Muscatelle. Often used for blending, our version is 100% “Dry” Semillon, grown next door to the winery, by our friends and neighbors the Osborn’s (hint the name “OZ”). The 33 year old vineyard is head-trained and un-irrigated producing rich, vibrant fruit.

Light and lavish, it has aromas of fresh citrus, honey and melon rind. On the front palate, tangy citrus and green apple are framed by mineral notes. At 50% malolactic, the wine has a crisp clean finish - making it the perfect warm weather wine.
