The only Zin known to come out of Knights Valley and a favorite of ours. This 2004 vintage continues to catapult this specific Zin into a league of it’s own. This is our 4th vintage working with this hilltop vineyard and it has yet to let us down. The flavors and aromas are consistently in line with the past vintages, evolving into a more sultry, more structured wine.
A pronounced nose of smoky cedar and vanilla signaling a voluptuous mouth-feel. Savory strawberry, anise, and dried cranberry flavors fill the palate. At the close, there’s a layered fruity finish, punctuated by firm dusty tannins. As a rule, Zinfandels do not age as well as cabs do, so be sure to enjoy this Zin by 2009.
