Our Cab Franc, normally a component varietal to the great Bordeaux of France, comes from the northern end of the Russian River Valley, a micro-region of warm days and balmy nights that enable this grape to develop its fruit-laden, full bodied character. Our Cab Franc, a 100% varietal and strong enough to stand on its own.

It boasts all the qualities and complexity of its Bordeaux heritage. Toasty cedar aroma that comes from residing 22 months in French oak. Delightful notes of bay leaf, vibrant red fruit, nutmeg and dried herbs greet the palate and fade into a resolute, prolonged finish.

The herbaceous nature of Cabernet Franc is displayed in the mouth feel with the smooth richness of it’s daughter varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon. Flavors of nutmeg, white pepper, and clove come across the palate ever so slightly. Enjoy with a range of entrée’s, a great food wine!    Drink now through 2014.
