2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon; Sonoma County

Newly released and recently awarded a Gold Medal and a 95 point rating from the judges of the California State Fair. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of three different Sonoma County vineyards including 65% fruit from Speedy Creek, 20% Estate and Monte Rosso finishing it out at 15%.

Blueberries stand out with hard red candy, sweet maple, and cinnamon aromas. Currants, black cherry, and plum coat the plate giving way to vanilla and spicy notes. The creamy intergraded finish lingers with rich fine grain tannins and a touch of oak. Drink now through 2011. This big red deserves decanting allowing it to open and expand in the glass.
